Kritika

Film review app, built solo

Kritika: peeling a film’s stamp into the collection, then opening the collection
Kritika: case study
  • A film review app I design and build in SwiftUI with Claude Code. Films get rated from Shit to Oscar, and every poster turns into a stamp you can peel off.
  • Building it myself changed how I design: I start with empty states, and I keep animations that a handoff would cut.
  • Not in the App Store yet, but the feed, the reviews and the stamps already work on my phone.

Urbantiger

Eco clothing store

Urbantiger: choosing a gift card design
Urbantiger: case study
  • Redesign of the online store: 28 pages at four breakpoints in three months. The MVP is live, and the client reported conversion at about twice the old rate.
  • The store went up in a rush in 2021, and nobody touched its UX after 2023, so it no longer matched the brand.
  • We designed the parts that usually get skipped, like promo code errors and returns, plus loyalty badges such as Night Owl, for shopping at night.

Chums

Web3 messenger with its own wallet

Chums messenger: the chat list and a conversation
Chums: case study
  • I led design at Chums for a year. On desktop, attaching a file took six steps. Now you drag it into the chat.
  • The desktop app was the phone app stretched across a big window. The redesign reached beta three months after the plan was approved.
  • The phone on this card is my 2024 concept. Later came AI threads and a rewards system, designed with a junior designer I mentored.

Lendly Invest

Investment flow for crowdlending

Lendly Invest: a loan’s page, the documents signed with a code from an SMS, and the investment in the portfolio
Lendly Invest: case study
  • Buying into a new loan takes a signature for every document. We split it into numbered steps, with a stepper that shows how many signatures are left.
  • Qualified investor status and a notarized power of attorney used to mean emails to support. Now both live in the investor’s account.
  • I designed the marketplace, analytics and the flows where money and documents change hands, with our lead designer, analyst and two PMs.

Yandex Cloud

Touchscreen game at Yandex Scale 2026

Yandex Cloud booth game: choosing a business task
Yandex Cloud: case study
  • I designed the game and built its front end myself, with Claude Code, in a week and a half. The production version is built on my code.
  • A visitor at a booth has a minute or two and zero patience. So the game explains itself, and even running out of time shows you the right answer.
  • Every result leads somewhere: a QR code to request materials or a consultation, and in the short mode, points you trade for merch at the booth.

Yandex Alice

AI assistant concept for a Yandex design battle

Alice on the lock screen: a warm-up card after a short night
Yandex Alice: case study
  • Nobody opens a chat after a bad night, or when a call starts in six minutes. So we took Alice out of the chat and put her on the lock screen.
  • She doesn’t wait to be asked. She orders, books and drafts, and you confirm with one tap. On a Mac she lives in the notch.
  • 2nd place at a Yandex design battle, one point behind the winner. Studio team of five. I worked on the idea, the scenario and the screens.

About me and awards

Mostly B2C: fintech, Web3 and e-commerce. I like messy flows and making them look good. I research, prototype and build front ends, and make 3D, icons, motion and video with AI.

I care about systems, but I still prefer a bit more craft.

I designed a site for film director Artem Shcherbakov. It got Site of the Day on Awwwards, FWA and CSSDA. artemartemartem.com

  1. Awwwards Site of the Day, July 25, 2026
  2. FWA of the Day, August 30, 2026
  3. CSS Design Awards Website of the Day, June 17, 2026
